Film Rights Optioned for Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn Trilogy
Fans of Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn trilogy will be happy to learn that the books have been optioned for film by Paloppa Pictures.
Frankly, I think a Mistborn movie is a horrible idea and I can't understand why any author would want their books made into movies. Movies are rarely as good as the books that they are based on and most people prefer to watch the movie first and if they don't like it then they will never bother reading the book. Someone just told me they have no interest in reading The Time Traveler's Wife because they didn't like the movie. What a loss!
I often find that I'll watch the movie and then WANT to read the book, to see what they've changed, etc. Though sometimes the movie is so bad I just want to forget about it, so I can see your point.
